Mr. Schmeding has more than 14 years experience in banking and private equity. Prior to joining WP Global Partners in 2009, Mr. Schmeding spent 10 years as the CEO and Managing Director of a European based private equity firm and its predecessor. The firm focused on investments in medium sized companies as well as middle market private equity and special situations funds globally. Additionally, Mr. Schmeding was the Managing Director of a real estate holding company, managing a real estate development portfolio. Previously, Mr. Schmeding was a Director of the Holdings Division and Personal Aide to the Chairman of the Executive Board of a German bank. In this capacities, he was responsible for corporate development and strategy, strategic realignment and optimization of the bank’s asset allocation as well as the management of the equity holdings and the repositioning of the real estate portfolios. Prior to this, Mr. Schmeding has handled various international projects for banks and corporations in Europe and Asia. Mr. Schmeding successfully completed a banking traineeship and earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration as well as a degree in Business English both from the University of Muenster.
